Trish Perry worked with Sylvia Downs in developing learning skills at research units in Cambridge and Cardiff from 1980 - 1987. In 1987 she became a senior psychologist at the Department of Employment, supervising psychologists who helped people deal with their physical and learning difficulties.
Other work included identifying personal behaviours which resolved difficult situations amicably and evaluating training providers by means of their trainees' success in training and work.
Now approaching the age of 70, Trish has modified her hobby of sailing to watching others get wet, or soaking wet if they have capsized.
She has also developed a less strenuous hobby of drawing cartoons, including those in this book, from which she has had much enjoyment, as have others.
